Show HIGHLIGHTS . . . 2008

ESSC Open Show judged by Angela Calvert, Frankie wins a strong MPD class:

1.Walker's Perfickly Frank With Dexbenella.

Very promising puppy of 7 months. Dark eye, soft expression, reaches of neck into clean shoulder. Lovely deep and well upholstered body for age. Thought he held a good shape both stacked and moving. Promising boy.

What a great weekend! On Saturday 15th November I took Frankie and Nellie to a local open show - Crystal Palace CS. It was a small but quality entry. Frankie won Junior (out of 4 entries) and was the youngest in the class. We were delighted when he won not only BP but also Res Best of Breed behind Nellie who was awarded Best of Breed.

On Sunday 16th I ventured further afield to Mid Herts Gundog. This time

there was a puppy class and Frankie came 1st again taking BP. He delighted us

in the BPIS ring where he really strode out and was place 3rd.

What pleases us most is that he is learning to really enjoy his showing.

19th October 2008 - What a great day for our small kennel!! Nellie

(D. Drama Queen) won Best Bitch and BEST IN SHOW under judge

Janet Richards (Eastlands). Frankie won Best Puppy Dog and was pipped at the post for BPIS by Dexbenella Gracie May - now owned by Vicky & Paul Warrener.

1st Walkers' Petranella Perfickly Frank with Dexbenella

Lovely head, well placed ears, arched neck flowing into good shoulders, ribs well sprung, straight front, good legs & feet, strong quarters, led down hocks, moved well.

1st Walkers' Dexbenella Gracie May

9mths, l/w/t, balanced head, almond shaped eye and kind expression, good length of neck which flowed into level topline and correct tailset, well turned stifle, symmetrical outline, moved well with correct stride. BPIS

1st Walkers' Dexbenella Drama Queen

what a lovely l/w bitch, full of quality, pleasing head, lovely eye & expression, good reach of neck, flowed into good layback of shoulder and topline, also tailset, good spring of rib and let down on brisket, good legs & feet, moved well, presented in tip-tp order, her coat gleamed. BIS

Pictured left Kizzy wins the bitch CC (her tenth) with BOB at WKC under breed specialist David Mitchell.

Critique: My notes read ‘stunning, perfect, gorgeous’ and she is all of those things for me and so hard to fault. Absolutely feminine bitch, of lovely size and shape. Exquisite head with desired fluting and dark, correctly shaped eye, good earset and wonderful kind expression. Upper arm and forehand construction exactly as it should be with excellent rear angles to match. Great body, deep with super spring of rib and good broad rump. In gleaming coat and condition, immaculately turned out with lovely feathering. Happy, free mover with constant wagging tail. Super temperament to set off a really super bitch. Wish she were mine. BCC and BOB.

Veteran Dog

1. Walkers’ Graftonbury Navahoe at Dexbenella JW Sh CM

Liver & white who is now seven and a half, could teach the younger generation a thing or two about movement moving true fore and aft, beginning to show his age in head, another dog with a wide blaze which can distract from his correct head proportions, which you have to feel to appreciate, well off for bone, straight front, tight feet, adequate length of neck, pleasing shoulder placement, well laid back and sloping correctly, good body to height proportions, adequate rear angles, clean low set hocks, well muscled. BVIS

Minor Puppy Bitch

1. Walkers’ Dexbenella Gracie May

Liver, White & Tan, just six month’s old and such a sweetie, good head proportions with sufficient stop and chiselling beneath kind dark eyes, markings could be off-putting for some, clean neck into well laid shoulders, would prefer to see a slight arch to the neck as per the standard, sufficient bone for a bitch, elbows need to tighten, tight feet, good length to body, nice rear end angulation, further development to come here with time, low set tail, clean hocks, although immature against the winners of puppy dog and bitch, her overall balance won her BPIS.

GRADUATE - Bitch Entries: 10 Absentees: 1

1st DEXBENELLA DRAMA QUEEN JW (MR S & MRS W WALKER)

What a gorgeous young lady, just my type, beautiful head, eye and expression, well boned straight front with well rounded feet, super spring of rib and deep chest, level top line correct tail set and carriage, excellent rear quarters, shown in lovely condition but carrying just a little too much weight, moved with drive straight and true and with purpose.

OPEN - Bitch Entries: 6 Absentees: 0

1st SH CH TRIMERE TOTAL DEVOTION TO DEXBENELLA JW SHCM (MR S & MRS W WALKER)

C.C. A firm favourite of mine. Just love her overall make and shape. Melting expression, super neck and shoulders, straight well boned front and lovely rounded feet correct top line, tail set and carriage, well angulated rear quarters which she used to perfection but just not the ring presence of the dog in the final challenge.

SESSS - Feb 2008 - Judge Yvonne Billows (Robil)

Yearling Bitch (9) - 1. Walkers’ Dexbenella Drama Queen JW

A well made young lady who stills retains her femininity overall. Super shape and body with excellent bone. Strong hindquarters which were effectively used as she moved with considerable drive around the ring. Good coat and condition.

Open Bitch (7) - 1. Walkers Sh Ch Trimere Total Devotion to Dexbenella JW

Wonderfully feminine bitch with everything to like. Love the definition in her head. Has beautiful eye shape and colour. Super bone and extremely well balanced overall, certainly looked the part standing and didn’t disappoint on the move. Pleased to award her the Res Bitch CC
